Number one lake has many stunning carp with the current record now standing at over 66lb's. As well as the carp there are also giant catfish to over 120lb+, grass carp to over 53lb and sturgeon to 30lb+. This is a typical gravel pit and contains over 400 hard fighting carp.

 

The lake is 14 acres in size with 10 swims. Facilities such as a weighing tripod and cradle are nearby as are a patio area with a pub style bench, a finnish log cabin where, if you book in advance your evening meals are served. There is a wooden terrace to enjoy the sunny climate. A Bar-B-Q’s is available and finally a shower block that has 2 English style toilets and shower.

The River Marne runs alongside this particular lake and holds carp to over 60lb. The river is fishable on a day ticket at just 15 euros per day.

Number 2 lake has a large stock with 250 Carp, 20 Catfish, 2 Sturgeon, numerous Grass Carp and 6 Koi Carp. Poisson Chats are present in this lake and so the usual precautions must be taken. Using Boilies in the warmer weather can be futile. The way to catch is to use Particle baits such as Tiger Nuts, Maize, Brazil Nuts, Cashews etc. Rock hard air dried Boilies can work well.

Number 3 is the newest of the 3 lakes. This 30 year old established gravel pit is lined with trees and mature borders. It is 7 acres in size and has an average depth of 3.5 meters. Stock levels in this lake out number the other 2 lakes. There is a large head of 30lbs+ fish and a few 40lbs!

Whether you're a novice to French angling or a seasoned pro Bill's lake 3 has something to offer everyone. This lake accommodates up to 6 anglers max with 8 pegs to choose from, 2 being suitable for doubles. The lake is let for group or individual bookings being on a drive and survive basis. Toilets and hot showers are provided on site 24 hours a day.

The carp at Bills lakes seem to be putting on massive weight gains every year.
