Devised to give the hookbait a greater degree of movement.
The hook and hookbait can easily rotate 360 degree's which ensures the hook will drop into the bottom lip of the carp no matter which direction the fish approaches from.
This rig is best used on carp waters where the fish are being a little crafty.
Any rig which allows the hook to move and pivot freely will always be affective in hooking carp.
A popped up bait is essential to insure the rig lays at the correct angle. A mono hooklink is preferable as it will insure that the bait falls away from the lead.
The 360 degree rig is only supposed to be used with pop ups. It should sink slowly and rest on bottom of lake bed under the weight of the hook and swivel. Before you cast out this rig always check that it is behaving in the way you want by placing it in a container of water and observing.
To begin assembly, take a long shank hook pattern, something like a nailer type hook and pass the ring swivel (small eye) over the point and down the shank. Next take 2 rubber float stops and push one over the point and down the shank of the hook. Next, tie a boilie to a small drennan ring (or similar) using flat dental floss and just an ordinary slip knot. Slide the ring and bait over the hook point. Now slide the other float stop over the point. Finaly, use a stiff mono hooklink and tie to the swivel.
