Started by a small group of anglers who wanted to make a difference. Carping for Cancer are making valiant efforts to raise funds for the Orchid male cancer appeal, the only dedicated male cancer research body.
Through sponsored events, raffles, auctions and matches CFC have raised over £19,500 so far. Their matches are designed to be fun events where like minded anglers get together for a few beers and 48 hours of fishing on some of the UK's top venues.
Orchid Male Cancer Appeal
Orchid Male Cancer Appeal plays a leading role in the fight against male cancer to save men's lives from testicular, prostate and penile cancers through pioneering research and promoting awareness. In 2011, 37,000 men will be diagnosed with a male-specific cancer in the prostate, penile or testicles. CFC are doing their bit and we are supporting them.
