This really is the simplist of knots to tie. Once you have tied this once you will see how easy it is and you wont forget it. When tying knots for the 1st time always you have an ample length of line as this will make the whole process easier.
Simply take your length of line and double it over creating a loop. Next cross the doubled up line to form another loop and thread the line through the new loop and pull tight.
When using this knot as a hair make sure you keep the loop fairly small, say around half an inch.
The size of the loop will depend on the size of bait you intend to use. Now simply attach to the hook using the knotless knot.
This video makes it easy to learn how to tie this simple but extremly useful knot. Most carp anglers use this knot to construct the hair when building their carp fishing rigs.
This simple knot can be used to attach many different baits to the hook. Baits such as sweetcorn for tench, meat for barbel or boilies for carp. A baiting needle is used by pushing the thin point of the needle through the bait then catching the end of the loop and pulling back through. A plastic hair stop is then used to secure the bait to the hair. You can even purchase stops that match the colour of your hookbait.
By going through the loop 3 times you will have created a loop which can be used to create the hinge for the Combi Link Rig
