What is a more natural bait than worms? Worms form part of all fishes natural diet. In times of flood worms are readily available as new ground is opened up to the fish. Lobworm's are rich in amino acids.
These amino acids are very attractive and beneficial to the carp. When your fishing is a little slow then just taking the time to find a few lobby's can bring rich rewards. I prefer to fish the worm on a float rig.
You can purchase worms from tackle shops or just do it the old fashioned way. On a damp evening go equipped with a torch and bucket to a large grassy area and you will find plenty.
Alternatively, using some washing up liquid mixed in a bucket of water, tip it over a small area and you may be surprised by how many worm rise to the surface.
This is because they are irritated by the washing up liquid and come to the surface to try and rid themselves of it. You will also need a tub of clean water to wash the worm before placing it in a bucket filled with old news-paper and mud.
